More than 2,000 bikers raised 70,000 baht for
Banglamung School at the Thappraya Motorcycle Club’s first ever Bikers
Night.
Bikers from all over the country filled a lot behind
the Rong Poh Market Aug. 16 to watch musicians and celebrities,
including Toi Muakdaeng, sing, dance and perform. Profits from the event
were donated to Banglamung School for renovations.
Members of the motorcycle club presented the funds to
school Principal Pornlert Laomeechai, saying the donation was in honor
of HM the Queen’s 80th birthday Aug. 12.
Biker Pornchai Meerat said the school lacked quality
utilities, toilets, sports equipment and educational tools. Active in
raising funds for charity since 2005, the Thappraya Motorcycle Club
planned its Bikers Night to raise funds to repair the school’s fence and
other structural work.
