An American man died of unknown causes in his locked
North Pattaya room with only his pet rabbit there to witness his death.
George P. Stanco, 48, was discovered by the owner of
the SY Mansion on Soi Chalermprakiat 12 Aug. 17. He’d been dead about
two days.
Police do not suspect foul play, despite the disarray
in Stanco’s apartment. They believe the mess came from Stanco’s pet
rabbit, which had been running around the room, searching for food.
Investigators recovered a large number of antibiotics
from the room, leading to suspicions the American either died of a
long-running illness or drug overdose. The American embassy was notified
of his death.
