Students from Pattaya’s Photisampan Pittayakarn School
are helping classmates avoid online scams and predators by designing logos
reminding them about the importance of online safety.
The Hand-in-Hand Foundation joined with the Pattaya
Cultural Council and city hall to sponsor the student logo design contest.
Fifth grade student Sriprathum Paosombut earned the 3,000 top prize for her
logo depicting a green monster chasing a computer with the caption “Think
Before Using.”

Karnpien said the logo contest was aimed at creating designs that can be
displayed in Internet cafes, schools and other places where youths gather to
alert them to the perils of online fraud and other crime.
Ten Photisampan students made the final round with sixth
grade student Sumsini Royprasit winning the 2,000 baht second prize and
fifth grader Kungwan Gnarnphasom placing third for 1,000 baht. Other
students received 500 baht consolation prizes.
The Hand-in-Hand Foundation put the winning logos on
display at its South Pattaya headquarters and will be distributing them to
online businesses around town.
