Gangland style hit in Pattaya

Police received a report from Ms. Thongluan Chaisorn that when she was fishing, she smelled something rotten. She followed her nose and found the body of a foreign male. It was hidden in some grass next to a water tank. The corpse’s hands were tied behind its back. Ms. Thongluan immediately informed Banglamung police, who arrived at the scene along with the Sawang Boriboon Foundation.
Police found the body lying face down in the grass. The hands were tied with yellow electrician’s tape. Upon preliminary inspection, police found that the victim had been shot in the mouth. The casings of two 11mm bullets were found near the body. Searching the victim’s pockets officers found 500 baht and 10 dollars in US currency. Police also found a notebook with Chinese writing in it. It was kept for translation and as evidence.
The body has been sent to police forensics for an autopsy. From preliminary examinations, police physicians assumed that the man had been dead for no less than 8 days. There were also no less than two people who carried out the murder. The coroner’s office said that it is probably the body of a westerner as it is large and has a receding hairline.
Police also speculate that the reason for the murder may have been a disagreement about business matters. Police say that the murderers were probably trying to get information out of the victim. When he refused to tell, they bound his hands and shot him.
What they didn’t talk about was the Chinese notebook, which sounds like the kind used for illegal transfers of money through Hong Kong.
