Two Cambodian fishermen were arrested for allegedly killing a Thai
colleague and injuring two others with metal bars.
Porn, 28, and Heng, 25, were taken into custody Oct. 9 following a brawl by
four Cambodians and five Thais on drinking in Soi Thamwittaya in Moo 2
village of Sattahip. The other two Cambodians remain at large.
Closed-circuit cameras captured images of the Cambodians attacking the Thais
with four metal bars, which were recovered at the scene.
Delek Yousawat, 48, fell down during the fight and was set upon by the
Cambodians, who bashed in his skull. Two other Thais, Suthep Amartmontree,
57, and Sutat Kangwan, 33, were seriously injured.
Police said Porn and Heng confessed to the attack, saying they had a
long-running problem with Delek.
The two suspects were brought back to the scene to recreate the crime, but a
mob of 200 angry residents swarmed the reenactment, forcing its
postponement.
