500 cyclists ride to
reduce global warming

Cyclists prepare to head
out for the “Nation Media Invites people to cycle and tour Pattaya to
reduce global warming event”.

The publisher of The Nation newspaper joined Pattaya officials
to open a 25-kilometer bicycle trek to raise awareness of global
warming.
Chonburi Gov. Khomsan Ekachai, Banglamung District Chief Sakchai
Taengho, Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and Pattaya Courthouse Chief
Justice Apichart Thepnu joined Manote Nongyai, chairman of the Cycling
Club of Pattaya and Adisak Limprungpattanakit, managing director of
Nation Broadcasting Corporation Ltd. for the “Nation Media Invites
people to cycle and tour Pattaya to reduce global warming event” Oct. 5
at Pattaya City Hall.
More than 500 riders left city hall and pedaled to Chaiyapruek Road, up
to Sukhumvit Road and back to the start line.
Pattaya sponsored the race as part of its mission to get residents to
focus on exercise and good health. The Nation said its goal was to
reduce global warming by encouraging bicycle use.
