A Russian woman died after apparently drowning in a
central Pattaya condominium pool.
The body of Tatiana Paramonova, 22, was found at the
edge of the condominium’s pool Oct. 3. She was wearing a swimsuit and
had appeared to suffer a knee injury. Investigators determined she’d
been dead about an hour.
Kusol Srisuwan, 33, owner of a poolside bar, said
Paramonova had been drinking and swimming with a friend since morning.
At one point, she dived into the pool and did not resurface for more
than five minutes. At that point, the bar owner called on a nearby
foreigner to rescue her. Volunteers performed CPR, but to no avail.
