Chonburi students learned about the perils of driving
motorbikes without helmets and were given free ones to take home during
a traffic-safety lecture at Panatpittayakarn School.
Col. Pisit Prouyrungrot, superintendent at the
Panatnikom Police Station, briefed students on traffic laws while
Kobchai Bun-orana, provincial traffic safety expert, described the
dangers of not wearing helmets.
Chonburi Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit said the workshop was part of a pilot
program to cut traffic accidents among students. As part of the program,
local businessman Choochai Udomwuttiwong donated 500 helmets to the
kids.
