Events
Organized by the Burapha Motorcycle Club, the 14th
Pattaya Bike Week will take place on February 11 & 12 at the site of the
Pattaya Indoor Sports Stadium on Chaiyapreuk 2 Road, Jomtien. Beginning at
noon, thousands of bike fans and riders from across the country will be
descending on Pattaya for this popular annual event to showcase their street
machines and enjoy the party atmosphere and live stage music. The event also
features many competitions, food stalls and a cowboys and indians show.
Admission is free of charge and everyone is invited to come along and enjoy
this colourful and vibrant festival.
The Lighthouse Club Pattaya will be holding their first
charity networking event of 2011 on Friday, February 11 at the Havana Bar,
Holiday-Inn Hotel on Pattaya Beach-Road. As usual, the main event, sponsored
this time by the Montpelier Group, will run from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
with a free-flow of food and drinks available as long as stocks last. After
8:30 p.m. the Havana Bar will be offering 1/2 pints of ice cold draft beer
only THB 50 net and red/white wine or whiskey mixer only THB 100 net.
Admission fee for all ladies and LHC (voucher) members is THB 300 and others
pay THB 600. LHC “member-vouchers” are available in a member-booklet with 12

AustCham is holding an Eastern Seaboard Sundowners
networking event on Friday, Feb. 11 at the Hilton Hotel Pattaya. Drinks and
snacks will be served on the usual first come first served basis while

Clubs and Associations
The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club
(PCEC) will be on Sunday, February 6. Everyone is warmly welcome. The
guest speaker will be Mark Bond from Seafari Dive Center. He will be talking
about the adventures of diving in and around Pattaya Bay. The Club meets
every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the
north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program
starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9 to 11
a.m. Each week the PCEC usually has an interesting speaker to talk on
various subjects of interest in an informal setting. The program is followed
by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked
and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) organizes
regular lunches and coffee mornings on the first and third Tuesday of every

For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand
have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the
telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates
24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate
community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will
provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the
phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous basis and are free of

The Rotary Club Pattaya Marina meets every Friday
at 7.00 p.m. at the Pullman Aisawan, Wongamat Beach, between Soi 16 and 18

Pattaya Players (Home of Pattaya’s Professional
Amateurs) invites you to attend their latest murder mystery dinner
production entitled, “Murder Under the Big Top” at Le Caf้ Royale in
Pattayaland Soi 3 in South Pattaya on Friday, February 25th and Saturday,
February 26th. Upon arrival, each guest will be given a character name and
bio and will be encouraged to interact with cast members who will be milling
