Chart Thai sweeps Chonburi Elections

Going against the national tide, Chonburi citizens voted in a full slate of Chart Thai candidates. All seven seats in the three constituencies went to members of the former coalition leading Chart Thai Party. In Constituency 3, which includes Pattaya, Santsak Ngarmpiches and Charnsak Chavalitnititham were voted in by an overwhelming margin and will represent this district in the national government.

Candidates injured in suspicious crash

During what PollWatch has called the “dirtiest election ever”, the two top Democrat Party candidates in Chonburi Constituency 3 (Pattaya), Pramual Embia and Paisal Thanomsakyuth, were both slightly injured in a suspicious automobile accident while campaigning in Pattaya. Three other people in the car also suffered minor injuries.
