Av Khanijou landlady of Indian by Nature on behalf of ‘Friends Of Thailand’ donated 50,000 to Pierre - Yves Eraud, President of the Rotary Club Pattaya Marina.  The money will be used to buy boats for fisherman who lost their means of livelihood when the tsunami struck on 26 Dec. 2004 in the Ban Nam Khem-Khao Lak area. Pierre de Brugerolle de Fraissinette, Consul Honoraire de France looks on.


Realizing that most Thai schools are in need of computers for their students Rotarians Peter Thorand, Stephan Heynert and Dieter Precourt of the Rotary Club Of Taksin-Pattaya donated a powerful, brand new computer to the Temple School in Pattaya on July 15, much to the delight of the students and teachers alike.


Ittiphon Khunplome, MP of Chonburi Province presided over the Bowin Anti-Drug Sport Tournament organized by the Bowin Tambon Administrative Organization early this month. The trophies were sponsored by Waste Management Siam Co., Ltd. (WMS) the operator of Eastern Seaboard Environmental Complex (ESBEC) and represented by Sutthida Fakkum, Communications Manager at the prize giving ceremonies.


Neil James Davies celebrated his birthday at a party held at the Montien Hotel, Pattaya. Family and the hotel staff wished him many happy returns.


Michael (Smiley) Lewis, Brian (Bluie) Calder and Graham Hedley (l-r) receive Certificates Of Appreciation from Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Pattaya Post 9876 (VFW) for their generous contributions to the VFW Charity Fund.  The three Australian nationals are long time visitors to Pattaya and have generously contributed to and participated in the July 4 U.S. Independence Day celebration at Shakey Pete’s Place for many years.
