The Royal Thai Navy, Tourism Authority of Thailand and a raft of other
local and national agencies are planning an elaborate three-day birthday bash
for HRH Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn at Big Buddha Hill in Sattahip July 26-28.
Officials from the Culture Ministry, Royal Thai Navy, Chonburi provincial
offices, Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism, Chonburi Buddhism Office,
tourism agencies and local governments met July 17 at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden
to work out final details of the “Unite, Harmonize, Express Loyalty to the HRH
Crown Prince” event, which marks HRH’s 62nd birthday.
There will be many activities including Nora performances, a cinema show from
Bang Khon Temple in Rayong, Khon puppet performances from Rajamangala University
of Technology Thanyaburi and more. There also will be sales of locally made
goods, exhibitions to honor the prince, Thai arts, drawing competitions for kids
and a charity blood drive.
