Police volunteer shot in Nongprue

A police volunteer was injured after being shot in Nongprue.
Sakda Chanchai, 18, suffered a single shot to the chest in front of the
J.B. Color Lab on Soi Sukhumvit 59 Jan. 29. He was listed in serious
condition at Banglamung Hospital.
Sakda’s friend Sanan Chimwiset, 18, said the victim was sitting on his
motorbike waiting for some friends when two youths on a Honda Wave rode
by. The pillion passenger fired the shot.
Police speculated the shooters were either the teenager’s enemies or
possibly someone the volunteer helped arrest previously. Investigators
are reviewing security-camera footage.
