A man wanted for armed robbery in Kamphaeng Phet was finally
jailed after police in the northern province discovered he’d been hiding
out in Sattahip for nine years.
Chaiyawat Pimkae, 31, was apprehended at his Chuensukh Village home July
19.
Lt. Thonasak Prasatthong said Chaiyawat and four others were suspected
of the April 27, 2004 armed robbery of a drug dealer in Kamphaeng Phet,
stealing cash and methamphetamines.
Police said Chaiyawat confessed to being one of the wanted men, but
denied knowledge of the whereabouts of his alleged accomplices. He
noted, however, he was quite sure one of the four was now dead.
