Thousands of area residents and government
officials filed into Pattaya City Hall to congratulate newly
re-elected Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and city council members.
The line of well-wishers stretched from city
hall’s ground-floor entrance up to the fourth floor July 11, with
many offering flowers and a few shedding tears.
Pattaya Permanent Secretary Pakorn Sukhonthachat
presented city leaders with their official documents before
Itthiphol announced the reappointment of his deputy mayors and
outlined their responsibilities.
Wattana Chantanawaranon will be responsible for
education, registration and finance; Wutisak Rermkitkarn for public
works and social welfare; Verawat Khakhay for sanitation and the
environment; and Ronakit Ekasingh for control and prevention for
control and prevention of social security (the civil officers dept.)
and public safety (fire and accidents).

City council representatives break down by region
as follows.
Region 1 is represented by Banlue Kullavanijaya,
Jidapa Suwattaporn, Thatchai Supspornpasuphat, Anupong Bhudanawarut,
Urit Nantasurasak, and Vichet Nongyai.
Region 2 is represented by Rattanachai
Sutidechanai, Farooq Wongborisuthi, Manoch Nongyai, Morakot
Noohuang; Ithiwat Wattanasartsathorn, and Yuwida Jeerapan.
Region 3 is represented by Vichai Rodpia, Visalya
Phettrakul, Nakhon Phonlookin, Chanansa Sutthithamrongsawat, Sanit
Boonmachai, and Banjong Banthoonprayuk.
Region 4 is represented by Tavich Chaiswangwong,
Phansak Saengchan, Praiwan Arromchuen, Thongchai Ardzong, Amnuai
Somphongtham and Choosak Sriwatjanapong.
The initiation ceremony was followed by
presentation of flowers from various associations including the New
Naklua Market Housewives Group, Soi 5 Thunwa community, Pattaya
Housewives and Ladies Group, Pattaya Isaan Club and many more.
