A British-Thai couple has been arrested for allegedly
running a football-betting operation out of their Jomtien Beach pub.
Anthony James McNally, 57, and Thitima Kaeohueang,
29, were arrested at Maggie May’s bar & restaurant June 17 after a
foreigner cooperating with police allegedly placed a 2,000 baht bet on
the Holland-Portugal Euro 2012 match.
Police said McNally confessed to taking bets on
football to supplement income from the restaurant he has owned for 10
years.
