with power lines.

The Provincial Electrical Authority is trimming and
removing trees interfering with power lines.
About 20 PEA technicians worked Sept. 20 on Second Road
at Soi 6 to cut down a large tree whose branches had become entangled with a
power line running from near Central Road to Central Center. Electricity was
cut off for half a day as the line was cleared and police worked to keep
vehicles away lines and workers.
The high-wire act continued Sept. 22 on Naklua Soi 18
between the Pullman Aiswan Hotel and Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort.
PEA local technical chief Punya Boonsamua said tree trimming and removal
will continue around the area on a monthly basis.
