office in Jomtien.
Boonlua Chatree
Thailand’s immigration commissioner visited the Chonburi
Immigration Office in Jomtien Beach to launch the local implementation of
his new “Triple S” program.
Lt. Gen. Wibun Bangthamai said the Triple S Program
focuses on security, service and standards.
The security initiative calls for revised procedures,
additional training and programs that suppress crime, such as the
Transnational Crime Information Center.
Service-related efforts seek to improve Immigration’s
reputation among its foreign customers and will include a customer survey
and suggestion box.
The final S calls on the immigration offices to reach
international standards of operations, including vehicle control, alien
services and clear directions for foreign customers. Wibun also said each
service offered by immigration would have a specified completion time so
customers know when such things as applications will be approved or
rejected.
