More than 3 dozen beauty pageant contestants recently spent a
day in Pattaya as part of their promotional tour around Thailand.
City Councilman Choosak Sriwatjanapong and other city hall officials
welcomed the 37 contestants in the Face of Beauty International pageant
to the King Taksin Monument Nov. 6. Pageant CEO Mila Manuel introduced
the hopefuls from Albania, Algeria, Brazil, China, Curacao, Denmark,
Kosovo, Pakistan, Panama, Peru and other countries in preparation for
the finale Nov. 12 at the Coliseum Show.
This year is the second for the Face of Beauty International pageant,
which was founded by New Zealander Manuel and managed by Bangkok’s
Padinunt Production Co. The pageant said it tries to differentiate
itself by not placing and height and weight restrictions on contestants,
who range in age from 15 to 24.
