Two eastern Thailand men were arrested for allegedly robbing a South
Pattaya gas station at gunpoint.
Polphaisal Thappriksorn of Chonburi, 24, and Ronachai Sangienwong of
Chacheongsao, 23, were captured carrying a loaded 9 mm handgun Nov. 1.
Police alleged the two robbed the Caltex service station next to the
Tesco-Lotus supermarket of 5,000 baht around 5:40 a.m. Oct. 30. They
escaped on Sangienwong’s motorbike, which was also confiscated, police
said.
A gas station employee remembered the bike’s license plate number and
police easily tracked down the two suspects.
