a huge cache of illegal narcotics.

Authorities seized 20,000 methamphetamine tablets and other drugs when
they arrested four Sattahip residents suspected of dealing drugs in the
east for an inmate behind bars in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Suchart Ruenruang, 31, Suchada Muangphuak, 23, Sanit Ngewket, 20, and
Orasa Chathongyos, 19, where captured in two separate arrests Nov. 7 by
Sattahip officials, area police and Royal Thai Navy narcotics officers.
Officers seized the 20,000 ya ba tablets, 407.7 g. of crystal
methamphetamines and a Nissan compact.
Lead police investigator Col. Nipon Pomsanam accused the four suspects
of working for Supoj Khumsamang, 34, who is serving out a drugs
conviction in central Thailand’s Klong Phai Prison.
Police said they broke the drug-dealing ring when they learned a
shipment of 2,000 pills was to be delivered to Ban Chong Samae San
village. Suchart and Suchada were captured at a police checkpoint with
the 2,000 tablets.
Under interrogation, the couple admitted that additional pills were
being stored at Theera Place in Ban Chang, police said. The other two
suspects were caught there, each in possession of a single tablet. An
additional 18,000 pills were found on site, police said.
Police said Suchart admitted to be working for the imprisoned drug
kingpin, but said he was only a delivery person, not the actual dealer
of the drugs to the public.
