Motorbike taxi driver slashed after drunken argument

A motorbike taxi driver was injured when a drunken argument over
sports turned into violence.
Police were called to the Moonlight Serviced Apartments near Chaimongkol
Temple around 4:30 a.m. Feb. 24 after an unidentified man slashed a driver
identified only as “Tong” in the head. He was taken to Banglamung Hospital
for stitches.
A witness said Tong and the suspect had been drinking while betting on the
Real Madrid vs Deportivo La Coruna football match. Tong began taunting the
suspect, who retaliated with a knife.
The suspect was unidentified and at press time, it is unknown whether the
victim will press charges.
