Four Miss Tiffany Universe pageant winners helped Royal Thai Navy
personnel pack bags of emergency rations that will be distributed by the
royal Princess Pa Foundation for flood victims.
2012 Winner Panwilas Mongkol, 2011 winner Sirapassorn Attayakorn, 2008
winner Kangsdan Wongdusadeekul, and 2006 winner Ratcharawee
Jeerapraphakul joined 2012 “Miss Friendly” prize winner Rattanant
Seelawanit and 300 other volunteers to pack the 8,500 bags of food,
blankets, medicines and many other items at a hangar at U-Tapao Pattaya
International Airport Sept. 19.
The event was organized by Princess Pa Foundation President Somthawin
Yangyoo. She said HRH Princess Soamsawalee, who created the foundation
after major floods in 1995, continually works to aid flooding victims.
The Princess Pa Foundation was begun to help close the gap between
victims’ needs and support from existing charity organizations. With
heavy rain and flash flooding expected in northern Thailand through
October, the princess didn’t want to wait until she returned to Thailand
to prepare the relief supplies, Somthawin said.
The winners of the transvestite beauty pageant said they were proud to
help flood victims, even if it was just a small part of the relief
effort.
