The Lions Club of Pattaya-Pratamnak donated another six wheelchairs to
disabled residents from area neighborhoods.
Treasurer Somsak Nakson joined doctors and staff of the Pattaya City
Hospital Sept. 18 under the flyover to Bali Hai pier in South Pattaya
for the presentation ceremony.
This month, 13 wheelchairs have been donated to residents of the Old
Naklua Market, Ton Krabok Surao, Haa Thunwa, Nongyai, Nongtabaek,
Chaiyapruek, Wat Bunyakanchanaram, Soi Thappraya communities and
Pattaya’s “Doctors at Home” project.
Lions representatives said the donation was necessary as many people do
not have easy access to hospitals. Pattaya City Hospital, they said, has
dispatched mobile units to various communities in Pattaya to collect
information regarding patients who are too poor to afford their own
chairs. The hospital then requested help from the Lions Club.
