The Blue Moose gang headed out to Treasure Hill on 27 May. Talk about a tough course. Just getting there was a trial for some, particularly George Richman who got caught in 3 lanes of turning traffic. George had a scenic tour of Thailand and he barely made it to the course for the 8:00 am tee time. Once on the course things got a bit hairy.
Joe St. Laurent, left, with George Richman.
Most fairways had a tree in the middle, hazzard on the right and water on the left. If you did not hit down the middle or did not make the fairway, you were in tall grass and maybe found your ball, then the problem of hitting out of the tall grass. The course is very nice but not suited for 24+ handicappers (sic?).
Back at the Blue Moose the makings of sandwiches of pulled pork was provided along with various snacks. A tally of the cards revealed that Joe St. Laurent had a whopping 28 followed by George Richman with a 27. This being the end of the month, Joe gets to have his name engraved on the trophy.
