With more and more cases of foreign prostitutes working in Pattaya, police staged a sting operation at the Marine Hotel whereby an undercover policeman made a request for three Ugandan women to come to his room to provide sexual services.

When the three women turned up the police identified themselves and the ladies of the night confessed to what they were doing and stated that more Ugandan ladies were plying their trade on walking street.

The police quickly went to walking street and were able to apprehend a further 4 Ugandan nationals all of which admitted that they came here as tourists and now sold sexual services to both Thai and foreign tourists to earn extra money.

The women all of whom had valid tourist visas were transferred to police station for profiling and will no doubt face immediate extradition.

Police are now trying to ascertain if these women worked alone or for a larger ring of human traffickers working in Pattaya.
