Pattaya Hospital was briefly evacuated after a high-voltage transformer exploded behind the Soi Buakhao facility.

Firefighters took about 30 minutes to control the blaze at the central Pattaya pump station, for which the transformer supplied power. About 100 patients were evacuated from the hospital, but no one was injured.

The hospital, which draws electricity, from another source, was not affected by any blackout. It also has its own generators in case of a power outage.
