John Ian Charles, 47, was apprehended Aug. 24 at the Jomtien Complex on an arrest warrant issued in May 2008 following a complaint he’d molested a minor at Sup Sombat Village.
At the time, Charles had denied the charges and bailed himself out of jail before fleeing the area. Recently, Region 2 police had been notified he had surfaced again at the Jomtien Beach condominium complex.
Police said Charles had attempted to negotiate his way out of arrest before demanding to consult his attorney and cursing reporters at the scene.
