Former flight attendant-turned-English teacher Aapornne
Supommanee led the July 26 course in conference room 231, Pattaya City Hall.
Eleven workers attended the 3-hour seminar, which focused on commonly used
sentences, correct grammar and syntax.
Senior Pattaya officials said they hoped the added
training would impress foreigners and show visitors the city’s determination
to provide better service.
In addition, officials said, they hope that training
workers to speak multiple languages will reduce costs by reducing the number
of staff needed and the time it takes to serve customers.
