Two ex-convicts were arrested after pulling a BB
gun on officers at a police checkpoint.
Suriya Chaiyakul, 39, and Yos Khuanamol, 38, were
apprehended in Jomtien Beach July 16, about five kilometers from the
checkpoint they broke through on Soi Kophai.
Both aboard a tiny Yamaha Meo with no license
plate, one of the two suspects pointed the BB gun at police and
fled. Once they were run down, police also found them carrying
pliers and a screwdriver.
Suriya confessed he was recently released from
prison, where he was incarcerated for burglary and drug possession.
Suriya added that he and Yos were now robbing homes again and did
not want to stop for police.
