Pattaya to the rescue

Sawang Boriboon rescue workers from Pattaya, using a new boat supplied by Securitas Thailand, rescue a family trapped on the roof of their home in Ayuthaya. Pattaya rushes to the aid of flood victims

Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome last Friday told the Pattaya Relief Group committee that relief efforts by the people of Pattaya through City Hall have grown to a very large scale since the flood crisis erupted.

Initial damages from the flood crisis on the Thai economy are likely to exceed 400 billion baht, excluding successive impacts and chain of effects to providing goods and service to customers, said Pornsil Patchritanakul, Deputy Secretary-General of the Board of Trade of Thailand.
