Korean designer wins Miss International Queen 2010

South Korean designer Minnie Han took top honors at this year’s Miss International Queen transvestite beauty pageant held Nov. 19 at Tiffany’s Theatre.

Contestants from Japan and the U.S.A. earned runner-up spots.

Han bested 23 contestants at the pageant to win $10,000, a year of free accommodations at the Woodlands Hotel & Resort, and other prizes. Han was also named winner of the Best National Dress award.

Ami Takeuchi of Japan was named first runner-up and took home $2,000 and prizes from Pratunam Poly Clinic, GNET and Asok Skin Hospital. Third place went to American Stasha Sanchez, who took home $1,500 and prizes.

Thailand’s own Nalada Thamthanakorn, the current Miss Tiffany Universe, finished in the top 10 and won the Best Evening Dress award.
