Loy Krathong brings out the crowds as 100,000 visitors join in the fun

Estimates are that more than
100,000 local and foreign tourists celebrated Loy Krathong in Pattaya on
November 5, from Bali Hai pier all the way up to the Dusit Resort. It is a time
for love and friendship, and true Thai tradition, as these two lovely “Nang
Noppamas” from Amari Orchid Resort show with style.

German man uses fake gun to rob bank
A lone German with a history of bank holdups used a fake gun to rob a branch of
the Siam Commercial Bank and then fled into woodland.
Police were called out to the scene just after 7 p.m. on November 3 after a
report that a foreign man had robbed the bank’s Wongamart Branch at Soi 18 in
Naklua. The bank manager, 45-year-old Ong-At Suthikhun, said that he and three
other employees were providing service to customers when at about 6:30 p.m. a
foreign man entered the bank wearing a black cap, and went straight to the
customer waiting area.

Grant Thornton shows combined foreign chambers the way ahead

Grant Thornton Thailand hosted a foreign chambers networking evening on
the Eastern Seaboard for the members of AMCHAM, AustCham, BCCT and the
Thai-Canadian Chamber. This was held at the Pattaya Marriott Resort and
Spa, and was very well attended, as you would imagine, with members from
four chambers present.

Teachers from throughout the kingdom arrive for educational visit

Pattaya City Hall welcomed over 60 teachers who arrived from all over
Thailand on October 29 for an educational visit organized by the Ministry of
Education.

Champions battle it out on Eastern Seaboard roads

This evening, Friday, November 10th from 7pm Walking Street in Pattaya will
reverberate to music of a different kind, the revving of highly tuned racing
engines, as the twenty rally cars competing in the 18th International Rally
of Thailand are flagged away at the start of the Kingdom’s best known motor
sport event.
