Suggestions to reduce stress
Dr. Annop Samathiwat, Head of the Public Health
Department for Chonburi, said that the environment, both natural and
financial, is having adverse affects on the general public. The high
cost of living, low wages and flooding are all contributing to a
stressful environment.
Finding solutions to this epidemic of stress is extremely important, Dr.
Annop said, and there are many ways one can improve mental health.
Taking care of one’s physical health should be the first step in
reducing stress. Be outgoing and don’t feel you have to do what everyone
else does. When stress becomes a problem, pamper yourself a bit.
Try to be helpful to others and society. Practice meditation. Don’t
leave your mind idle as it will lead to useless worrying. This will
cause your mind to be calm and wandering into destructive thought.
All of us can be mentally healthy. This will benefit the people around
you as well. Dr. Annop urges people to try some of these suggestions.
