Chonburi hands out 100 glasses, 800 bags of supplies to poor

The Chonburi government handed out 100 pairs of free eyeglasses and 800 bags of supplies to the poor at a mobile-government event in Pattaya.
The Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization hosted 50 organizations and businesses at Pattaya City Hall May 20 to offer free checkups, electrical-appliance repairs, agriculture consultations, insurance assistance and more. The event also featured sales of locally made products.
Wanee Nathongrat, 68, said that she was glad that the government was working to support poor people and give them free glasses, as they cost a lot. The new pairs of eyeglasses she received will help improve her quality of life considerably, she said.
