Pattaya warns tourists
of after-dark dangers

the possible dangers after dark in Pattaya.

Pattaya tourists were given a warning about the dangers facing them
after dark on area streets during a presentation from city officials.
Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh hosted the May 24 presentation outside
Central Festival Pattaya Beach, flanked by representatives from Ministry
of Tourism and Sports, and Bureau for Prevention of Tourist Fraud
officials.
The agencies are cooperating in a public-relations campaign to warn
tourists of possible fraud and crime perils, especially those visiting
bars, massage parlors and other after-dark attractions.
Tourists were advised on what to do in the event of emergency, how to
contact authorities, and the assistances they would receive when
injured.
Ronakit also warned tourists to be extra careful of freelance
prostitutes, as they might rob tourists.
