behind by tourists.

Tawat Puakbunnak has been elected as head of the Pattaya Transport Co-operative,
which manages the city’s baht buses.
Running unopposed, Tawat - who was previously president from 2007-2011 - vowed
to work honestly and openly for members.
The May 16 union meeting at the Town in Town Hotel also saw plaques presented to
two co-op members who found, and returned, large amounts of cash left behind by
tourists. It also awarded 25,000 baht in scholarships to children of members.
Winai Amcharoen, driver bus 081, returned a bag containing an Apple iPhone and
40,000 baht cash left by an American tourist. Nakhon Srinob, driver of bus 557,
returned a bag containing 200,000 baht cash to a Japanese tourist.
