Paranoid Rayong man found dead in canal

Patcharapol Panrak
A Rayong man who disappeared July 2 in a fit of paranoia was found dead a day later in an area canal.
The body of Rungarun Ratsaenchan, 56, was found face down in a canal near his home village of Lauddee July 3. Police could not immediately determine the cause of death.
The dead man’s wife, Yuphaphat Sawatlon, 47, said she’d last seen Rungarun the day before when, highly agitated, he’d stormed out of the house.
She told police her husband suffered paranoid delusions and was certain someone was out to kill him. The condition has gotten so bad that the couple had separated, living in neighboring houses. Despite his illness, she described Rungarun as kind and generous, but was also unemployed and occasionally abused alcohol.
