Pattaya Mail named
“Most Outstanding Newspaper in all of East Thailand”

Pattaya Mail director of operations,
Kamolthep Malhotra (left), accepts the “Most Outstanding Newspaper in all of
East Thailand” award from Chonburi Deputy Governor Pongsak Preechawit. This
marks the 15th straight year Pattaya Mail Media Group has received top honors
from the Eastern Mass Media Association, each year presented on March 5,
National Press Day. Awarded for “High ethical standards in business and
publishing news for the benefit of society, deserving to be recognized and
lauded.” This year the association introduced this highest award category which
Pattaya Mail, Pattaya Blatt and Pattaya Mail Television deservedly won.

Sports complex expansion
takes small step forward

Plans to renovate the Eastern National Sports Center into Thailand’s
main venue for disabled athletes took a step forward, albeit a small
one, with a city committee recommending spending 13 million of the 3
billion baht Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome originally proposed.
