
BANGKOK, Thailand – Siam Paragon, in partnership with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and the Ministry of Culture, is presenting “Siam Paragon the Wondrous Japan Heritage 2026” from August 20 to 30. The event celebrates the enduring friendship and cultural ties between Thailand and Japan. The festival will feature live martial arts demonstrations at Parc Paragon from August 20 to 23. Attendees can experience authentic katana swordsmanship in the “Awaken the Samurai” program presented by Shidenryu Tokyo, a renowned martial arts school, as well as Iga Ninja survival and combat techniques. Katsunori Aoki, recognized as a successor to the Takamori samurai lineage, will present the historical and martial traditions of Japan’s warrior heritage. Performances will be held on the M Floor from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. each day, except August 20, when only the evening session is available.
Visitors may also join Japanese cultural activities such as origami and maneki-neko workshops, and play Samurai, a strategy board game by Reiner Knizia. These activities will be available at Parc Paragon from August 20 to 23, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Another highlight of the event is “A Living Legacy of Time,” a Japanese bonsai exhibition by Bonsai Hunter at Living Hall on the third floor. Running from August 20 to 30, the exhibition features “The Magnificent Seven,” a collection of seven distinguished bonsai and rare Japanese specimens. The centerpiece is a bonsai tree over 500 years old. Expert-led exhibition tours will be offered on weekends. Bonsai workshops are scheduled for August 22 and 29 from 1 to 3 p.m.
