BANGKOK, Thailand – The Joint Management and Monitoring Center for the Situation in the Middle East has reported escalating tensions in the region, along with updates on assistance for Thai nationals and measures to manage domestic energy and economic impacts.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the conflict, now in its fourth week, has expanded to include critical energy infrastructure, impacting global stability. One Thai national was killed in Israel, and 1,475 citizens have been successfully assisted in leaving high-risk areas. Evacuation efforts remain active, and officials urge Thais to monitor embassy updates and use the “Thai Consular” application for emergency aid.
The Ministry of Energy reported that Thailand maintains an overall fuel reserve of approximately 103 days. While a surge in demand recently created localized transportation bottlenecks, the government has authorized fuel trucks to operate 24 hours a day nationwide. The situation is expected to stabilize within 1–2 weeks, supported by the development of a “Fuel Map” for real-time monitoring.
The Ministry of Commerce is currently investigating 25 complaints regarding unfair pricing and has expanded “Blue Flag” discount outlets to reduce the cost of living. Support measures, including discounted fertilizer for farmers, are being implemented to assist vulnerable groups. Officials urge the public to avoid panic buying and report unfair trade practices as the government continues to manage the situation. (NNT)
