Defense Minister calls for unified messaging at Thailand–Cambodia border press center

Defense Minister Nattaphon Narkphanit visits the Joint Press Center for the Thailand–Cambodia border situation, meeting with representatives from key ministries and agencies to encourage staff and stress the importance of accurate, timely, and unified communication to keep the public properly informed.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Defense Minister Nattaphon Narkphanit visited the Joint Press Center for the Thailand–Cambodia border situation to encourage officials and emphasize the need for unified communication.

During the visit, the Defense Minister met with representatives from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Royal Thai Police, the Public Relations Department, and Channel 5. Air Chief Marshal Prapas Sornjaidee, Director of the Joint Press Center, welcomed the delegation and briefed the Minister on the Center’s operations.



The Defense Minister thanked all agencies for their dedication and cooperation. He stressed that the situation requires both effective border operations and accurate, timely, and unified communication. The Joint Press Center serves as a strategic platform to ensure verified information is consistently shared with the public.

He noted the Center’s positive recognition and encouraged personnel to maintain their commitment. The Defense Minister also requested that lessons learned be documented to serve as a model for future strategic communication.

The Joint Press Center was established to provide factual updates on the Thailand–Cambodia border situation. Press briefings are held twice daily at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and are broadcast live on NBT2HD, Channel 5, and online platforms managed by the Public Relations Department, NBT Connext, and TV5HD Online.
