BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn announced comprehensive transportation plans for the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026, opening on November 1, 2026. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Ministry has worked with relevant agencies to implement four key measures for visitors. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has built a temporary railway stop at the exhibition site, with six daily train services connecting Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Vientiane, Laos.
The Department of Land Transport has arranged free parking for 10,578 vehicles at 22 locations in Udon Thani. Shuttle buses will run on three routes, linking the airport, railway station, and bus terminal with the exhibition grounds from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For air travel, the Department of Airports has arranged about 290 scheduled flights per week by five airlines. These flights connect Udon Thani with Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hat Yai, and U-Tapao, with some routes operating only on selected days.
Meanwhile, the Department of Highways has improved intersections along Highway 2 and upgraded the landscape near the exhibition entrance to enhance traffic flow and safety. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that these integrated transportation arrangements aim to provide seamless travel for visitors, support tourism, stimulate economic activity, and generate income for Udon Thani and neighboring provinces.
