PATTAYA, Thailand – Firefighters from the Pattaya City Fire Station (Jomtien Division) responded to a grass fire late at night in the Thapprasit Soi 17 area, near a hotel, after receiving an emergency alert at around 22:28 on June 14. A water truck (Sakhon 54) carrying three firefighting personnel was dispatched to the scene to carry out suppression operations after reports of flames spreading through dry grassland in the vicinity. The incident was classified as a grass fire (code 400), prompting a rapid response due to the risk of the fire spreading to nearby properties. Upon arrival, firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from extending toward nearby structures and surrounding areas. The operation focused on controlling wind-driven flames and cutting off potential spread zones.

Authorities successfully brought the fire under control before it could escalate further. No injuries were reported, and no significant property damage was immediately confirmed. The cause of the fire has not yet been officially determined, and relevant agencies are expected to conduct further inspection of the area to assess damage and identify the origin of the blaze. Officials also reminded the public to exercise caution when handling activities that may cause sparks or open flames, particularly during dry conditions, as grass fires can spread quickly and pose risks to nearby communities.
