Nongprue police inspect motorcycles near Chak Nok Reservoir, aiming to give residents around Pattaya and Jomtien quieter nights.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Police from Nongprue Police Station inspected 22 motorcycles during an operation targeting loud exhausts near Chak Nok Reservoir in Banglamung, East Pattaya, on October 28, aiming to prevent groups of youths from gathering and disturbing local residents. The operation began at 7pm, with officers checking motorcycles around the public park. One motorcycle fitted with a loud exhaust was seized, and its details were recorded.

The area is closely connected to Pattaya and Jomtien, where residents have long raised concerns about noisy motorcycles disturbing neighborhoods, particularly at night. Continued police action could mean quieter nights for people living in the surrounding communities and safer roads for motorists, without the disturbance and distraction caused by excessively loud exhausts. Police said inspections would continue to maintain public order and reduce noise disturbances.
