Police set up check points along Pattaya Second Road to check the levels of alcohol in drivers of cars and motorbikes out late at night.

Three drunk drivers were caught celebrating Loy Krathong too much in Pattaya.

A traffic police checkpoint on Second Road near North Road netted the intoxicated drivers Nov. 19.

Police said that, although Pattaya’s bars are closed and alcohol sales forbidden at restaurants, booze-related accidents have increased since the lockdown and curfew was eased.

With more events planned weekly, authorities only expect alcohol use to increase.
