More than 100 houses in Samut Songkhram damaged by summer storms

SAMUT SONGKHRAM – Summer storms have hit three districts in Samut Songkhram province, damaging more than 100 houses and fruit orchards.

The three districts are Mueang, Amphawa and Bang Khon Thi. The storms wreaked havoc on houses, a swine farm, and fruit orchards. The total damages were estimated at many hundreds of thousands baht.

Acting Governor of Samut Songkhram Suriyan Chirasatsunthon instructed local administrative organizations to provide primary assistance for the affected people immediately.

Army officers from the 16 Military Circle were sent to help the affected people.

The provincial administration is working with relevant units to search for long-term assistance for those affected by summer storms during this period.
