6 arrested in fake-phone raid at Tukcom

Intellectual property police raided South Pattaya’s Tukcom electronics mall, arresting five people and seizing stocks of counterfeit name-brand mobile telephones and phone cases.

Sirithip Panrat, 23; Saisunee Areeyachai, 32; Sapudee Saeteng, 25; Nopadol Sae-lee, 21; Sa-rawut Aoeiwan, 19, and a Thai man without identification were apprehended in the May 16 crackdown.

Region 2 Intellectual Property investigator, Lt. Col Chaiyadit Punyamuansakul said the dealers were charged with counterfeiting intellectual property, selling fake items and violating trademarks.
