The monthly networking for the Lighthouse Club was cancelled in July due to the elections; however, the August event simply couldn’t have been any better.

Over 350 people turned up on Friday the 5th at the Zulu bar of the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort for a spot of networking and supporting the work of Tracy Cosgrove through the Melissa Cosgrove Children’s Foundation.

The staff at Centara was busy ensuring everybody had plenty to eat and drink and the guests were treated to a dance show by two voluptuous Brazilian dancers from Zico’s restaurant. Another touch of glamour was there with the lovely Xanny making an appearance as all the male guests clambered for a photo op with her.

The sponsor for the evening was Siam Development promoting phase 2 of the Vineyard project. Terry Collins invited many of his clients along to get to know some of the great people who attend the Lighthouse Club.

This is a fun event with many familiar faces and a number of new ones who have heard about the good work that the club does to help projects in and around Pattaya.

There were no long winded, boring speeches, just a brief raffle and a total of 170,000 baht was raised on the evening.

When the free drink ceased at 8:30 p.m. the majority of the attendees stayed on to enjoy the tunes of DJ Ferris B and the excellent drinks promotions.

This was a record event in terms of attendance and money raised and is a tribute to the Lighthouse Club team, who has taken networking to different level in Pattaya.

The question now is, can it get any bigger? I doubt it, but if these like minded people can continue to come along once a month and let their hair down whilst helping children, it’s maybe a question of quality rather than quantity.

Details of the September Networking event will be announced soon on the club’s website www.lighthousepattaya.com or their Facebook page or in forthcoming editions of the Pattaya Mail.
