Police are investigating whether bones found on a Pattaya balcony are the
remains of a young girl.
Banglamung police were called to an unnamed apartment house on Sukhumvit Soi
87 Sept. 10 after a resident found a bag of children’s clothes mixed with
pieces of a skeleton. Investigators could not immediately determine if the
bones were human or animal. The clothes were covered in mud and the bag also
contained incense.
Neighbor Nongnut Yee-leng, 40, said the apartment has been vacant for about
two years. The previous tenant, she said, was a Thai man, about 40 years
old, who had two daughters, ages 2 and 3 years.
She said the man was having financial problems and had heard that one
daughter was ill. But she did not know what happened next, as the family
suddenly disappeared.
